Dear Queer,

I hesitate to write you since you are based in California. But for the rest of us who don’t live on either coast, we are watching The Handmaid’s Tale come to life. I am a single, straight woman who hasn’t had intercourse since abortion became illegal in my state. I’m terrified of getting pregnant and want to eliminate the possibility until laws in my home state change back. Abstaining now is easy because I don’t have a boyfriend, but I’m scared I’ll never find a man who will refrain with me. Are there any men out there who get it? Or am I doomed to a life without sex?
